CHAI. PAKODE. CONVERSATIONS. ☕️

Tasty Talks began with a chai and pakora meetup.

So, one afternoon we’re going back to where it all started. It couldn’t have been more apt to do it with a book about Tea.

Join us for a small, intimate chai gathering with Dr. Lav Kanoi — writer, scholar, and author of Chaiwaad, his Hindi translation of Kakuzo Okakura’s celebrated The Book of Tea.

Over steaming cups of chai and plates of pakode, we’ll talk about the drink that brings us all to the table.

What does chai mean to you?
How did tea become such an important part of everyday life in India?
And what happens when we pause to look at something as ordinary — and as extraordinary — as a cup of tea?

Lav will read from Chaiwaad, followed by an open conversation around tea, culture, literature, memory and the many meanings we give to that humble cup.

No lecture. No fancy tasting notes.

Just chai, pakode and a good conversation.

And yes — chai. Never chai-tea. 😉
