Let’s take you to a culinary trip to South Africa with host Vickie’s thoughtfully designed South African Menu.
Vickie is a South African-born chef and food-and-wine writer. She moved to the Netherlands in 2020 with her family. Vickie loves cooking and sharing her South African cooking heritage and memories of beautiful South Africa.

Welcome:
South African Cap Classique ( Sparkling wine) served with a welcoming canapé of Bobotie (spice minced beef) phyllo rolls on arrival.
Starter:
Mosbolletjie Bread served with Butter
Traditional South African bread made during harvest time flavoured with aniseed
Cape Malay Curry Seafood Soup (a mild coconut milk-based curry soup with mussels, prawns, and fish)
Main Course:
Traditional slow-cooked lamb bredie served with cinnamon spiced pampoenkoekies (pumpkin fritters) and other seasonal vegetables.
Dessert:
Tasting plate of a variety of South African desserts; Malva pudding, Koeksisters, Milk tart served with a pot of real rooibos tea
