The festival of colors is here and it’s the perfect occasion for us in Amsterdam to get together and celebrate this fun festival. When it’s Holi in India, there is a lot of color but there is also a lot of food too. People gather with friends and family, play colors, dance and enjoy delicious home cooked food which is unique to the festival.

Join us for a traditional lunch as we serve you a Festive Thali of food that’s cooked on Holi. There will be colors, Indian music and some dancing. It’s a private event with a maximum capacity of 10 people.

Menu:

Chole Bhature – The delicious quintessential festive food of the Indian home, chickpeas curry with Bhature (a puffed fried bread made of fermented dough)

Dahi Bhalle – It’s like a volcano of flavors in a bowl. spicy, earthy and delicious. Bhalle are balls made of a paste of lentils, fried in oil and then softened in hot water. The Balls are then placed in a bowl, a dollop of yoghurt on it, different kinds of chutneys and spices to top it to make a beautiful bowl of different colors and flavors.

Maalpua and Rabdi – Every Indian’s emotion is attached to this dish. This is one of the sweet dishes which is not to easy to prepare but tastes like heaven.

There will be a lot other side dishes and festive drinks on the table to add to the festivity.

Like a traditional celebration, you will be greeted with gulaal (applying herbal colors to each other), there will be festive songs, conversations and a little of dancing too 🙂
