Calling all foodies!
Take a unique walk through Deventer with food stops along the way!
Join Rosina for a picturesque walk through the quaint city she now calls home.
Start time: 11.30am
End time approx 2.30pm
Itinerary:
Pick up at Deventer train station at 11.30am.
We will chat as we leisurely walk to different locations where we will sample local delicacies, including:
1.Deventer koek with tea or coffee
2. A warming bowl of Deventer mustard soup (made with chicken stock, but a vegetarian tomato soup is possible)
3. Deventer Roem cheese
4. Tantuni (mouthwatering Turkish street food that is a staple amongst Deventernaars who wait up to 45 minutes for their order!)
5. Sushi tasting from the best sushi restaurant in the Netherlands!
When we are not eating, we will be walking to hidden gems, plus (briefly) visiting a few select specialty stores along the way like on the infamous Walstraat.
Around 3pm you will be brought back to the train station, unless you prefer to hang around the city and make your own way back later.
Contribution: 38 euro. pp
Price includes a complimentary bottle of water, all food (Deventer koek with tea or coffee; Deventer Roem kaas; Deventer mustard soup; Tantuni; Sushi). Water will be available at all seated locations. Any extra drinks you order are at your own cost.
Please note, this is not an informational/history tour. So don’t expect a historic account of the city. Its a fun hangout which involves discovering the city together along with the amazing food here.
