About the chef:
“I came up with the idea for Khao when living away from home (Bangalore, India), in the United States.
I grew up eating varied food from many parts of India and South Asia, which led to me creating Khao Foods, where I make sauce blends that combine these unique flavours in easily usable formats for everyone to use at home. I aim to create a sustainability-first food brand, that sets the standard for reducing our generation of food waste.
This event will feature Mangalorean cuisine, which is a coastal region in Karnataka. Food here naturally focuses on seafood, spiced with tamarind, chilies, coriander, pepper, and curry leaves – spices and herbs that naturally grow in the region. You will taste a bit of what is served in a typical Mangalorean home during your experience!”- Anirudh
